Today's cup of tea goes to Dino Lopez

Dino Lopez was born on January 13, 1969. Like many Canadian players during the previous few decades, he was born in a foreign country, more especially Jamaica.

He started his career York University, where he was an OUA All-Star in 1989. From there, he bounced around a few CSL clubs, including stops with the London Lasers in 1990, and 1992. He also played for the Toronto Blizzard, and was an original member of the Montreal Impact. After his time with Montreal, one year to be precise, he went to the Toronto Rockets. He only played in 11 games during the 1994 season, before finding himself with the Milwaukee Rampage from 1994-1998. During those years, he also spent some time playing indoor soccer with Buffalo and Toronto.

His only full Canadian cap came on September 3rd, 1992 in the unlikely place of Saint John, New Brunswick. On that day, Canada hosted their rivals to the south, the United States. Dino played 34 minutes in a 2-0 loss, in what would be his only cap for Canada.
